
Barbara Barrett is a full time, professional artist. Barbara specialises in Watercolour, although she sometimes paints in Acrylics and Oils as well as some mixed media.
She is passionate about her painting and loves sharing her skills and experience through Workshops. Barbara has given workshops in Ireland, France, South Africa and England.
Barbara has work in collections around the world. She held her own exhibitions at her studio/shop in South Africa every year, often as a participant in the Knysna Art Festival. She has also participated in several group exhibitions. Since settling in Cork, Ireland she has held solo exhibitions each year at the Courtyard Galley in Midleton.
Barbara has held solo shows around Ireland including, Feb 2008 Clonakilty, in Aid of Crumlin Children hospital. In June 2008 Barbara Exhibited in Fermoy, Co. Cork, together with Kitty Power, organised by the Fermoy chapter of Rotary, in aid of Cope Foundation. In October, an Exhibition at Whites of Wexford, for the fringe visual arts during the Wexford Opera Festival. She participated in the Art Ireland show in the RDS, Dublin during November 2008.
Barbara regularly demonstrates for Art Societies.
Her work is exhibited by the Artists Direct Gallery, Castletroy shopping Centre, Limerick, Courtyard Gallery, Midleton, and the Grange Gallery, Dublin. She also has prints in many outlets throughout Ireland.
She has her studio in her home in the beautiful countryside of Cork where she is inspired and motivated to paint.
